Mr. Bongo has been working in the mining industry for the past two decades. Having fulfilled various technical and management roles in Process operations, he has participated to the commissioning and stabilization of numerous flagship copper and cobalt projects in the Central African Copperbelt. His experience ranges from plant operations management and improvement, commissioning and project management. Mr. Bongo has a Master of Business Administration in Executive Management (EMBA) from the Graduate School of Business (GSB) of the University of Cape-Town in South-Africa, and a Diploma (Certificate level IV) in Frontline Management from Etas Group, Australia. His expertise covers corporate governance and management, business strategies, business development, strategic market and business environment analysis, projects and investments evaluation. A guest speaker at University of Lubumbashi (DRC) and Yangon Technological University (Myanmar), Mr. Bongo is a Member of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and a Member of the National Body of Engineers in the DR Congo. His first Degree was in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi in DR Congo.
Mr. Kabongo has spent a major part of his career, more than 15 years, working as an engineer and manager in the mining industry and energy sector. His experience varies from the design, project management, maintenance, to improvement and reliability in processing plants, open pit and underground mines, power generation and electrical networks. Mr. Kabongo is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), Member of the Project Management Institute from Pennsylvania (USA), Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in Electrical Engineering and Project Management, Member of the Institutions of engineers in Australia, Member of the National Body of Engineers in the DR Congo and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Professional (CSSGB) in India. Currently a PhD candidate, Multiple time invited speaker at several organisations in DRC, and overseas such as UNILU in DRC as well as the World Engineering Convention in Prague, in Czech Republic. Mr. Kabongo has published several articles in international scientific journals. He completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Birmingham in the UK. His First Degree was in Electro Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi in DR Congo.
