C&J Consultants was entrusted by Kibali Gold Mine to design, engineer, and install the critical electrical infrastructure for their new fleet of SANY electric haul trucks, a key component of their strategic move towards sustainable mining. Our end-to-end solution involved extending the mine's 11kV medium-voltage network to a new open-pit charging platform. The project included the installation of a 1.6 MVA transformer, Ring Main Units (RMUs), a custom-built distribution board, and comprehensive MV/LV cabling. A notable value-add was our design and implementation of a custom inter-tripping protection scheme, enhancing system safety and reliability. The project culminated in the successful commissioning of a robust and safe charging platform, empowering Kibali's transition to a modern, electric vehicle fleet.

C&J Consultants successfully executed a critical high-voltage infrastructure project for our client, Kibali Gold Mine, involving the installation of a new 11kV ACTOM SBVE4 switchgear panel. Our team expertly integrated the new unit by precisely aligning and connecting it to the main MCS busbar. The scope included the meticulous installation of control and protection circuits to ensure seamless communication with the existing system.
